Here at Grand Legacy At The Park, we believe in service. Every day we are working to provide comfort for our guests and to give them an experience that they will not soon forget. This is not the only way that we work towards serving others. We are firm believers in supporting organizations across the world that are striving to enrich the lives of people through many different channels.
We are proud to support each of these organizations, and would encourage others to help in any way possible. We believe in the goals they have set and are happy to be taking part in reaching them.
Dream Foundation – The Dream Foundation is committed to helping those who have received a life expectancy of 1 year or less. The people they help have one last dream that they would like to happen but may not have the means capable of reaching it. We have helped many people’s dreams come true through the Dream Foundation. One of our most recent recipients is Aley, age 27. She was diagnosed with #cancer when she was just 17. She continues to have a positive attitude and has long dreamed of taking her honeymoon to Disneyland with her husband and son. The couple enjoyed a beautiful wedding ceremony and left for Anaheim the next morning. They had an incredible time thanks to Grand Legacy At The Park, McDonald’s, Vitas Hospice #family #disneydreams #20000dreams
Illumination Foundation— The Illumination Foundation is geared towards serving the homeless population of Orange County, California. They work towards providing housing and rental assistance in a way to encourage housing stability. They also use different means to educate individuals with life skills that will enrich their potential for job development and income generation. They also target increasing access to healthcare benefits. This year Grand Legacy At The Park donated a two night stay in one of the beautiful Three Room Suites to raise funds for local homeless families.
World Vision – World Vision works with children, families, and communities to target poverty. Serving all people regardless of race, gender, religion, etc., in over 100 countries. They work to provide emergency assistance to children and families affected by disasters and conflict, partner with communities for long-term solutions to alleviate poverty, and advocate for justice on behalf of the poor. Grand Legacy At The Park currently sponsors ten children across the world through World Vision. It’s our goal to make a positive impact on the lives of others not only in Anaheim but in other places of need. Here are some of the Annual Progress Reports we have received. We love getting mail like this and knowing how our children are doing! Here is a VIDEO LETTER we received from one of our sponsored children, Isaie!
PLAN International USA – PLAN works side-by-side with communities in 50 developing countries to end the cycle of poverty for children, developing solutions to ensure long-term sustainability. Their solutions are designed up-front to be owned by communities for generations to come and range from clean water and health care programs, to education projects and child protection initiatives. Community by community, PLAN works to promise futures that are worthy of all children’s potential.
Grand Legacy At The Park currently sponsors eleven children across the world through Plan International USA. In addition to our contributions to the lives of these children, we also make quarterly donations to Plan International USA for the Sierra Leone ‘Because I AM A GIRL’ project. Below is a video on this particular project.
Mercy Corps– The Mercy Corps focuses on places where conflict, disaster, economic collapse, or political upheaval have created challenges. These situations provide opportunities to create secure and productive communities in the aftermath. They provide emergency relief and move to help the communities recover and build ways to prevent similar issues in the future. Grand Legacy At The Park donates money every year to Mercy Corps. Recently we donated to Nepal’s 7.8 earthquake that occurred on April 25th and also on the 7.3 earthquake that occurred on May 12th. We hope our donations will relieve some of the pain that the people of Nepal are having to face.
