One of my favorite things to do on vacation is eat out at restaurants. After all, it is a chance to get out of the kitchen, relax and enjoy some amazing food! I find it can be difficult to find that perfect restaurant, especially when you are not familiar with the area. Typically I find myself reading reviews for restaurants, however, I find that the locals always know the best spots to grab a bite to eat. The Anaheim area has lots of great restaurants and plenty of dining options, from quick bites to eat to fancy steak dinners. I prefer to keep my dining adventures simple and familiar. Some of my local favorites are tucked away within the Anaheim Resort area and I thought I would share three different styles of restaurants for different types of experiences. Whether you’re looking for a fun dining adventure, a celebratory date night, or a relaxing night ordering delivery, I have some great options for you to try during your next visit.
My first dining recommendation is a fun filled dining adventure at Fire & Ice Grill & Bar. From the atmosphere to the food, it is a perfect combination of great eats and unique dining. Located in the Anaheim GardenWalk, it is a short walk from the Grand Legacy At The Park and offers an all you can eat variety of food cooked fresh on a huge open grill. If you enjoy a great salad, start at the salad bar. I personally choose to skip this part so I can fill up with all of the good stuff. I head over to the food lane, grab a bowl, and load it up with just about any raw veggie, meat, seafood, and noodle combo you can think of! Then I choose a sauce from the sauce bar and head over to the grill. The grill staff is always entertaining as they grill your food up fresh, pour on your sauce, and serve your food nice and hot! The best part about this restaurant is you can try so many different combinations and flavors in one visit with the all you can eat option. I love getting small portions and being creative with all the combination options. They also have a fun and tasty brunch every Saturday and Sunday! This dining experience is budget friendly as well, with tiered pricing for the children.
Are you visiting us to celebrate your Honeymoon, Anniversary or Birthday as a couple? If so, you will want to head on over to Prime Cut Café & Wine Bar located in the city of Orange, just a short drive or taxi ride from the hotel. From the amazing Cast Iron Cheese Fondue and Shrimp Cocktail, to the Lobster Dinner, or my all-time favorite Prime Rib Dip, there is something yummy and unique for the both of you! This restaurant offers a contemporary atmosphere while offering up affordable luxury dining. Top off your experience with freshly baked cookies and milk. They will remind you of your grandmas amazing chocolate chip cookies warm from the oven!
After a few long days at Disneyland, what else sounds better than opting for an evening in, relaxing in the hotel room watching TV and enjoying delivery? Sure pizza sounds great and the kids are ecstatic, but Mom and Dad want something a little more than pizza. Check out Marri’s Pizza & Pasta for a great delivery option of some amazing Italian cuisine. Marri’s offers a wide range of appetizers, soup, salad, pizza, pasta dishes, and much more. One of my favorite dishes is the Italian Calzones stuffed with cheese and any (or all) of your favorite toppings! Marri’s offers a kids menu as well, just in case the little ones opt for their own individual meal! They will deliver to the hotel free of charge and offer affordable pricing, which makes this another outstanding option when opting for a yummy “dining in” kind of night!
