New Year’s Eve is the time where large crowds gather together to ring in a new beginning. Some might spend it with family and carry out their traditions, some like to party and others may like to relax in front of the television with a blanket and hot chocolate while watching the different celebrations from around the world. But if you’re in California and you are a Disney fanatic then spending your New Year’s Eve at Disneyland is the place for you to be. Disneyland on a regular day is a special experience but it is twice as magical on New Year’s Eve. It is the perfect way to bid farewell to the year and ring in a new one. If you were unable to celebrate your 2015 at Disneyland we hope this blog highlights a few reasons why you should plan to be there next year and some helpful tips on surviving the organized chaos. Prepare yourself for some live music, spectacular fireworks, dance parties and more!
Once the sun starts to set and you’ve explored the park and all it has to offer be sure to head over to the It’s A Small World attraction. Featured here are some live bands and entertainment for the whole family to enjoy. There are also television cameras set up for filming between 8 and 9 PM. These times are specially coordinated to broadcast with the New Year’s Eve celebration taking place in Time’s Square. Be mindful that this is the busiest time of year for Disneyland and it is best to give yourself ample time to make your way throughout the park.
You’re probably thinking that fireworks aren’t too special and that they go hand in hand with Disneyland, but they bring out all of the stops for this special holiday. Usually the fireworks have to be completed by 10 PM due to location restrictions but for NYE there is an exception granted and you can look forward to seeing an amazing midnight showing. You can also expect to see an impressive display at the Sleeping Beauty Castle!
The best recommended viewing points are:
- The Rivers of America in Frontierland
- The Sleeping Beauty Castle
- Main Street, USA
- and Its A Small World
Once you’ve made your way to the different attractions, witnessed the fireworks and enjoyed some tasty food, it’s time to dance the rest of the night away! There are a couple dance parties held around the park at It’s A Small World and Galactic Grill. Both feature DJs spinning popular music the entire family can jig to.
Don’t let the large crowds deter you away from an extravagant NYE celebration. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes, arrive early and dress warm. Last, but not least, don’t forget to make the absolute most of your experience as you and your family embark on a night full of love, joy and excitement!
Happy New Year 2016, from Grand Legacy At The Park!
