Here is Sarah’s article in full, written after staying with Grand Legacy At The Park:
A trip to Disneyland®, Anaheim is a dream come true for most. Whether you’ve been yearning since you were a child, are an avid Disney® fan like me and can’t help going back each year, or whether it’s time to take along your own family to experience the magic – where you choose to stay will have a massive impact on your overall Disney® experience. This year I was fortunate enough to stay at the Grand Legacy At The Park, Anaheim and I can highly recommend this choice as the best place to stay when making your own trip to Disneyland® .
Located directly across from the main entrance to both Disneyland® Park and Disney’s California Adventure® Park, the convenience of this hotel is enough in itself to make it a great choice. Being able to easily walk across the road and not worry about parking, duck back to your room for a rest, to get a jacket or to come back for a meal all enhance both the convenience and affordability of the hotel. With an array of restaurants and convenience stores all in the same block you really don’t need to leave the area. Everything is right at your fingertips – so be prepared for days filled with magical adventure and no hassles at night with transportation and fighting crowds to leave, just cross the road back to your own ‘home away from home’ and enjoy your peaceful slumber!
However, not only is this hotel perfectly located, it’s facilities and staff also exceed expectations and will enhance your entire experience. Currently in the final stage of renovations, the new 4 storey building on the Eastern side of the property is complete and offers 2 room suites, 3 room suites and superior rooms. I was lucky enough to stay in a 2 room suite which provided all I could want for a comfortable place to relax and recuperate after a busy day at the park. A spacious lounge room with dining table, fold out sofa bed and 32″ flat screen television with 60 channels of HD programming connected onto a large bedroom with 2 king size beds, another tv and modern bathroom with both bath and shower. A refrigerator, microwave, coffee machine and iron and ironing board as well as free wifi all make your trip more affordable with more to spend on souvenirs!
Once the renovation is complete in Spring, the hotel will also feature an entire new building with additional new guest rooms, breakfast room, meeting space, lobby, several retail outlets, and a roof top sun deck. I can’t wait to return and hopefully experience the finished product!
A large heated pool and kids splash zone is the centrepiece for the entire complex, providing a relaxing place to unwind or entertain the children. An impressive free continental breakfast is provided in the pool yard which not only includes breads and cereals but also fresh fruit, boiled eggs, donuts, porridge and bagels all to fill you up ready for a big day!
The staff of the Ramada Maingate are here to assist you in any way they can in order to ensure you have the best experience possible, and I felt they actually genuinely cared about this. Always greeting you with a smile – even when I arrived at 2am! – their politeness and friendliness is the best I have come across in all my American travels. They are there to make you feel at home and will go out of their way to assist you with all of your needs whether it be in buying discounted tickets to Disneyland® to avoid the queues, recommending which restaurants to try or even in advising transport to and from the hotel back to the airport or your journey home. You can feel the Disney® happiness as soon as you arrive with the staff’s smiling faces to greet you!
When its time to plan your next trip to Disneyland® I highly recommend the Grand Legacy At The Park, Anaheim due to its location, convenience, affordability, friendly staff, generous inclusions and overall luxurious facilities.
