The Disneyland Resort has over 16 million visitors annually, making it one of the most popular tourist attractions in the world. With the 60th Anniversary Diamond Celebration starting next week, you can be sure that the normal crowds are going to increase. So if you’re going on a Disneyland Resort vacation, what can you do to ease some of the crowd hassles?
- Arrive Early, and Stay Late- if you make sure that you are there from opening to close, you will maximize your time at the park and will not have to rush around like crazy. If you’re staying at a hotel near the Disneyland Resort, like Grand Legacy At The Park, this makes it even easier to do because you will be able to arrive earlier. Not only that, but you can take a midday break and come back to give the kids a nap, or take a swim in the pool before going back to catch the fireworks.
- Utilize FASTPASS and Single Rider Lines- Make sure to use a FASTPASS when you can, and to plan them out. For example, don’t jump on a ride with a 75-minute wait when your FASTPASS window is going to open 5 minutes from now. This may seem like a lot of planning, but it will help you out in the long run and save you time throughout the day.
- Get a “Wait Time” App- yes there is an app for that. Download one of the many third-party apps out there to help you better manage your time. The apps post wait times to allow you to make a better decision without having to go to the ride wait board and decide what ride to go to next.
- Don’t forget about the less popular attractions- the Disneyland Resort has plenty of attractions that are a lot of fun, without the long wait times. You can explore Tom Sawyer Island, take a ride on the Mark Twain Riverboat, or drop in at the Tiki Room for a show.
- Eat during the off hours- most people don’t notice this, but the lines to restaurants and other eateries are especially long during the peak eating times. So make it a point to eat early before the lunch rush or go during the mid-afternoon to avoid the wait. An even better option would be to stay at a hotel near the Disneyland Resort. At Grand Legacy At The Park, breakfast is on us! We offer free continental breakfast giving you one less meal to worry about so you can spend less time searching for a bite to eat, and more time exploring the Disneyland Resort.
