If you ask Google, it would tell you that Family is “a group consisting of parents and children living together in a household”. I believe family is so much more than the basic Google definition. To me, family is the core of my being, giving me the strength to be the best wife, mother, daughter, or sister that I can be. No matter what, I know my family is by my side as I am by theirs, through all of the good times and bad. My family is there to give and receive unconditional love and to always show and receive support and comfort. My family are the ones I provide advice to and the ones I trust to give me honest advice. My family are the ones I never want to leave in the morning and the ones I can’t wait to get home too at the end of the day. My family are the ones I enjoy spending quality time with, taking on new adventures, and traveling together to experience new things!
One of the amazing joys of working at the family friendly Grand Legacy At The Park Hotel, located across the street from the “Happiest Place on Earth”, is witnessing all of the family love we see on a day to day basis! Disneyland® brings families together! Whether it is for a short overnight trip, a week long adventure, or a once in a lifetime visit! We want all of our guests to get the chance to visit and spend quality time together as a family!
So we thought this would be a great opportunity to do a new contest! We love giving out prizes and love being a small part of your family fun and traditions! So here it goes:
We want to know what “Family” means to you. Submit your definition of “Family” along with a photo of your family at the Grand Legacy At The Park Hotel. We will be holding a vote for the top 3 submissions*. Prizes will be as follows**:
First Place
2 Night Stay in a new 2- Room Suite at Grand Legacy At The Park Hotel, which includes a Welcome Basket with goodies for the kids as well as $50 in Disney Dollars!
Second Place
2 Night Stay in a new Superior Room at Grand Legacy At The Park Hotel, which includes a Welcome Basket with goodies for the kids as well as $50 in Disney Dollars
Third Place
$50 in Disney Dollars to use during your next visit to The Disneyland Resort
*Submissions MUST be received by Thursday May 1st, 2014 by 2:00p.m. PST. Please send submissions to jessica@ramadamaingate.com. All submissions must include a photo of your family at Ramada Maingate – At The Park Hotel, as well as your definition of “Family” (maximum 100 words). All incomplete submissions will not be included in voting process. Voting will take place from May 2nd, 2014-May 8th, 2014. Voting will be by all of our email blast recipients, hotel staff, as well as social media fans. All voting rules will be announced on May 2nd, 2014. All submissions must include written permission authorizing us to use your photos and “Family” definitions to be publicly announced and promoted in our email blasts, on our hotel website, as well as on our social media sites including, but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. All Contest winners will be announced May 9th, 2014.
**Prizes including a stay must be completed by December 15, 2014. Reservations are based upon availability. Reservations must be made via email with written request to jessica@ramadamaingate.com. Prizes must be picked up during stay. No items will be mailed or delivered.
